Lucky you! I’m completely fascinated by coyotes, and often write about them on my urban nature blog. We even have them here in NYC, where I now live, mostly in the Bronx with at least one (probably more) in Queens. Once every few years now, a coyote makes its way into Manhattan. Two years ago, one stayed for a month, basing itself in the southeast corner of Central Park. I used to go down there at dusk to watch it emerge for its nightly adventures. (Urban coyotes tend to be more nocturnal than their country cousins.) Pretty amazing!
That’s wild! 🙂 I’ve heard of coyotes in Central Park.
If you search for “coyotes” at my blog, you’ll find all kinds of articles that at least mention coyotes. And here’s a great recording I made by holding a mic outside our back door one night in Taos: http://www.farrfeed.com/audio/coyotes.mp3
