John-
Love this shot as I do so many of your shots. Every time I visit the Democracy for NM website or Senator Feldman’s site, I look for your photos. Thank you so much.

Great! I have a bunch more coming, too.

So nothing came in new for three or four days, and I thought, ‘he’s off wandering, he’ll be back soon’ and suddenly, there your beautiful photos were, you’ve been wandering down by the Rio Grande…my dark cold rainy English day with its sad brown leaves all squashed and messy lit up with your gift. Memories, too – I actually travelled this road myself, back in ’05 on the way to Taos. Thanks be to you, John. The light you send travels a long way.

I wasn’t off wandering, I was immobilized by #*$^#W(* family nonsense. When I’m wandering, you DO get photos! 🙂 But I really appreciate the generous words and will do my best to live up to them.

Weatherwise, it’s sunny, yes, but down to ZERO degrees F. tonight! Ouch.

Aah – wandering means exploring and travelling in this small and very crowded country, I forgot that in a very big place wandering really does mean travelling long distances. Hope the family biz got sorted. Your picture of bubbles and ice is an art piece.

The family stuff is ongoing but quiet for the moment. I expect it to blow up at the most inconvenient time, however!

And thanks for the compliment! It’s amazing what the camera picks up…

Oh, the rivers of New Mexico. We have rivers here, short ones that run off our bijoux Olympic Mountains, radiating in all directions; but nothing like the Rio Grande or the Pecos: for setting a lawn chair right into in the summers, or driving along to get far into the mountains in winter when the temperature is frightfully low and the snow is deep in the high country. I used to run away to exactly where you have taken this picture, when I would feel trapped by winter.

You have huge bodies of water, though, and I miss sailing…
